Gridlocked
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]As we find ourselves on another bank holiday weekend I’m reminded of the last bank holiday Monday. My family and I popped out for a quick coffee and to grab some bits and pieces thinking it would be a simple visit out and swiftly back again. However little did we know what the day held in store as we found ourselves trapped in the most crazily jammed up car park. The traffic getting out of this usually free-flowing site was so bad it took us nearly two hours to escape! When we eventually did leave however it felt so sweet, we may have only been doing 40 miles an hour on an A road through Ashford but it may as well have been the wild frontier with no limits. It reminded me of how life can seem at times. You feel like you’re stuck in the slow lane desperate to move on but everywhere you look there's gridlock and no sign of movement but then God, in his perfect timing provides an opening and suddenly you're moving again but more than that your faith has grown as a result and it all feels so much sweeter. In Romans 5:3-4 the Apostle Paul writes:
“Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope”
God is passionate about shaping our character and so he sends us times of waiting and trials as well as joys to make us more like Jesus. So next time you feel stuck in a spiritual gridlock remember God sees the whole picture and his timing is so much better than ours.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
